AFSIS has disseminated emergency information on agricultural damage caused by natural disasters in the ASEAN region through the project titled "Report and Disseminate Information Regarding Serious Disasters". Implemented since 2023 to strengthen food security, this project aligns with ASEAN’s regional frameworks consisting of the ASEAN Integrated Food Security (AIFS) Framework and the Strategic Plan of Action on Food Security in the ASEAN Region (SPA-FS). It aims to enhance food security information in the region in terms of both quality and quantity, particularly during emergencies.

Indonesia have been affected by prolonging and accumulating rainfall, which happen every year during the wet season. These events, including flash floods, landslides, and extream rainfall affected several areas, causing damage to humanitarian, agricultural, and infrastructure losses.
