AFSIS has disseminated emergency information on agricultural damage caused by natural disasters in the ASEAN region through the project titled "Report and Disseminate Information Regarding Serious Disasters". Implemented since 2023 to strengthen food security, this project aligns with ASEAN’s regional frameworks consisting of the ASEAN Integrated Food Security (AIFS) Framework and the Strategic Plan of Action on Food Security in the ASEAN Region (SPA-FS). It aims to enhance food security information in the region in terms of both quality and quantity, particularly during emergencies.

A strong magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Mindanao, southern Philippines, causing widespread concern due to the region's high seismic activity. The earthquake was felt across several provinces in Mindanao and prompted emergency response measures while authorities assessed damage and monitored the possibility of additional seismic activity.
