AFSIS has disseminated emergency information on agricultural damage caused by natural disasters in the ASEAN region through the project titled "Report and Disseminate Information Regarding Serious Disasters". Implemented since 2023 to strengthen food security, this project aligns with ASEAN’s regional frameworks consisting of the ASEAN Integrated Food Security (AIFS) Framework and the Strategic Plan of Action on Food Security in the ASEAN Region (SPA-FS). It aims to enhance food security information in the region in terms of both quality and quantity, particularly during emergencies.

Tropical cyclone Narra was tracking over the Gulf of Tonkin near the northern coast of Vietnam. Heavy rainfall affected several provinces and municipalities in Vietnam. The reported impacts include human casualties, damage and destruction to housing and infrastructure, impacts on agricultural production, and disruptions to essential services.
