Disaster report
AFSIS has disseminated emergency information on agricultural damage caused by natural disasters in the ASEAN region through the project titled "Report and Disseminate Information Regarding Serious Disasters". Implemented since 2023 to strengthen food security, this project aligns with ASEAN’s regional frameworks consisting of the ASEAN Integrated Food Security (AIFS) Framework and the Strategic Plan of Action on Food Security in the ASEAN Region (SPA-FS). It aims to enhance food security information in the region in terms of both quality and quantity, particularly during emergencies.

Tropical cyclone Nokaen was the first storm to form in 2026. It affected several coastal areas, particularly across four regions, including Mimaropa, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga, with a total damaged area of approximately 3,488 hectares.
