Update by Webadmin 2022-02-08 03:40:19

On 24-30 January 2022, Department of Planning and Statistics (DPS), Ministry of AgriculturalFishery and Forestry (MAFF), Cambodia had visited Battambang Province to conduct a pilot survey as a part of the project for Supporting Agricultural Survey on Promoting Sustainable Agriculture in ASEAN region or SAS-PSA project in Cambodia.

This pilot survey was divided into 3 teams for collecting data of the total 220 household samples in 3 districts in Battambang Province namely Banan district, Thma Koul district, and Bavel district. Furthermore, the enumerators were using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) for data collection.

This activity aims for enhancing the building capacities, knowledge, as well as experiences of the DPS officials and enumerators on SDG 2.4.1 data collection according to FAO protocols in order to adapt and improve the SDG 2.4.1 survey of Cambodia in the national level.

During the survey period in Cambodia, AFSIS Secretariat couldn’t joint the fieldwork due to the spread of new variant of COVID-19, Omicron. However, the pilot survey was completely successful with great cooperation of farmers. For the next step, the data analysis workshop of the SAS-PSA project will be held in February 2022.
