Personal Data Protection Policy for the AFSIS website

AFSIS Secretariat formulates the Personal Data Protection Policy to protect the personal information of all service users of the AFSIS website.
Collection of Personal Data
1. To facilitate service users of the AFSIS website, AFSIS shall collect personal data, e.g., Email Address, Name, Home/Work address, Zip code, Phone number, etc.
2. In case of sign-up for a membership or use of service, AFSIS shall collect additional personal data, e.g., Gender, Age, Preference/Favorites, Interests, etc.
3. To survey the preferences of service that will be statistically used for service improvement. AFSIS shall collect additional personal data e.g., IP address, Type of browser, Domain name, Referring website address
4. AFSIS recommends that service users check the personal data protection policy of the linked website from the AFSIS website to have full awareness of its purpose of processing of personal data. AFSIS shall not certify the statement or endorse any actions from the announcement on the aforesaid website that may be against the personal data protection policy.
Processing of Personal Data
1. AFSIS shall limit the use of personal data to the extent necessary, such as the use of name and address information for communicating and providing the information including a survey of the opinion on AFSIS activities.
2. AFSIS shall not disclose personal data to any person without the consent of the Data Subject.
3. In the event that the third person hired by AFSIS shall use personal data for a specific purpose e.g., parcel delivery or analysis in AFSIS activities. In which the disclosure of personal data to such a person, AFSIS will take action for that person to keep the personal data confidential, and not to be used for any purpose other than the scope of AFSIS activity.
Rights of the Data Subject
The consent given by the Data Subject to AFSIS for the purposes of collection, use, and disclosure of personal data shall remain usable until the Data Subject revokes the consent in a written document. The Data Subject can revoke the consent or withhold the uses or disclosure of personal data in order to proceed with any activities, such as cancellation of the subscription to information or advertisement, which can be achieved by sending the Data Subject’s request to AFSIS for acknowledgment via email to aptfsis@gmail.com
Security of Personal Data
For the confidentiality and security of personal data, regulations within the organization have been complied with to determine the right to access or use the personal data in order to maintain the security of certain sensitive data, i.e., credit card numbers. The appropriate security measures, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol, are used to prevent any unauthorized or undue access to, use, change, rectification, or disclosure of the Personal Data.
Cookies and Use of Cookies
“Cookies” are small files of information sent from the AFSIS website to be stored within a user’s web browser when visiting the website. Using cookies shall be able the website to retrieve the user’s information at a later time unless cookies were removed or disabled by the user.
Enabling cookies shall facilitate users as they provide information and allow a website to display selected settings and targeted content. AFSIS shall use stored information from cookies for analysis or other activities for service improvement.
Review of Personal Data Protection Policy
AFSIS may review and improve the Personal Data Protection Policy on a regular basis without advance notice to the Data Subject so as to be appropriate and efficient in the provision of services. Therefore, AFSIS hereby advises the Data Subject to read the Personal Data Protection Policy every time when visiting or using the service from the AFSIS website.
