On 1 June 2022, AFSIS Secretariat held the meeting with Stantec under the“Technical Assistance to the EU-ASEAN Green Initiative” at meeting room 1, Innovation building, Office of Agricultural Economics, Bangkok.
The meeting was honored by Mr. Vinit Atisook, Deputy Secretary General, Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE) to be the chairman of the Meeting. Also, the representative of Stantec, Ms. Laura Salemi, Business Development Leader, and AFSIS Secretariat attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to exchange the information of the organizations and missions for better understanding in both sides to discuss about the collaboration in this project.
Dr. Waraporn Saelee, AFSIS Manager, had presented the AFSIS information which were the Historical Timeline, AFSIS Key Activities, the Implementations of the Collaboration Projects with Plus Three Countries, and AFSIS Challenges.
The meeting had ended with a mutual agreement to require more project details to consider for potential collaboration in the future.
On 24-25 April 2024, the 12th Meeting of ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Council was conducted physically at Beijing, People’s Republic of China
On 18 April 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries of Malaysia, the host country for the 22nd AFSIS Focal Point Meeting on 11-12 June 2024, and AFSIS Secretariat convened the meeting to discuss the organization of the 22nd AFSIS Focal Point Meeting in 2024. The objective of this meeting was to provide information on the steps needed to prepare for the upcoming AFSIS Focal Point Meeting.

On 9-12 April 2024, The Asia and the Pacific Food Security Forum 2024 will be held in Manila, Philippines hosted by The Asian Development Bank (ADB), to discuss actions to ease a worsening food crisis in the region, and to improve long-term food security by strengthening food systems against the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss among stakeholders in Asia and the Pacific.
On 2 April 2024, the AFSIS Secretariat had an opportunity to visit the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Ministry of Interior, Thailand. The primary focus of the meeting was to gather insights on several key aspects related to the emergency information-sharing mechanism of the DDPM.
